locale.center is a community discovery and engagement platform that allows users to search for communities around the world, view local resources on an interactive map, and interact with an AI-powered assistant for community-related information. The Service is provided as a demonstration and educational project.

3. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Submit abusive, harmful, or misleading content through the AI assistant
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

4. AI Assistant

The Service includes an AI-powered assistant that provides community information and resources. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date
  • The assistant is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
  • Conversations with the assistant may be processed by third-party AI providers
  • You should independently verify any critical information provided by the assistant

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, and other materials on the Service are the property of locale.center or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission. Third-party libraries and APIs used by the Service are subject to their respective licenses as listed on our References page.

6. Third-Party Services & Content

The Service integrates with third-party APIs and may display content from external sources including map data, geocoding results, and embedded media. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, locale.center and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
